SAGAPONACK

Featuring privacy and common courtesy, the neighborhood is a throwback to bygone times.

Welcome to Sagaponack

The perfect blend of East End tranquility and an active nightlife

First settled in 1656 by Josiah Stanborough, Sagaponack takes its name from the Shinnecock word for “land of the big ground nuts.” This refers to the village’s supply of ground nuts (not, as typically misattributed, a reference to the local potato farms). Sagaponack offers residents secluded tranquility. Featuring privacy and common courtesy, the neighborhood is a throwback to bygone times. Community events, charming scenery, and thriving nightlife combine to give Sagaponack an unmistakable feel of unique refinement.
